Aside from its natural beauty, travelers are drawn to Scotland for the friendliness of its people, incredible wildlife, historic buildings, and whisky. And let’s not forget that this country is home to the famous monster of Loch Ness.
A few thinks that you can’t miss if you travel to Scotland are: National Trust of Scotland, a rugby match, a whisky tour, and hiking along one of its hills or mountains.
As always, along with enjoying what the country has to offer, you can also donate some of your time and work.

They are always looking for volunteers to help run the Bright Water Centre in Kyleakin as well as giving guided tours of the island and helping with island maintenance. An interest in wildlife (particularly otters) is desirable.
When you work with them as a volunteer you will stay in the warden’s room of the cottage on Eilean Bàn with cooking and laundry on site for your use.
